As women (and especially as mothers), we’re expected to give until it hurts. Cultural expectations and gender roles tell us that beign a woman means being selfless and unconditionally giving.

Life doesn’t have to be relentlessly exhausting.

Many women have started to realize that there’s more to life than being stressed and depleted. This awakening has inspired them to look for inner happiness and make it a priority.

Even after a woman experiences this awakening, she can spend years going back and forth, trying to decide if inner happiness is truly real and what to do about it.

Learning to trust your intuition and hearing the longings of your soul are major components of mindfulness-based living. Until you are able to know what your heart desires and believe in your ability to know what is best for you, you won’t be able to show up authentically for yourself or for others.
